UMG 604 E-PRO 230V (UL)
We will be happy to advise you:
UMG 604 E-PRO 230V (UL)
The UMG 604 is more than just a multifunction measurement device. It can be used to monitor the power quality and implement comprehensive energy management. Incorporation into the communication structure is possible with both devices, including by means of the Ethernet interface and the numerous IP protocols offered. In addition the UMG 604-EP PRO is equipped with an additional Profibus interface.
Harmonics occur due to operating equipment with a non-linear characteristic, e.g. transformers used in saturation, energy saving bulbs, frequency converters and power electronics. They cause a load on the mains due to additional currents and can affect or even destroy operating equipment. This mains feedback can be detected and documented using power quality analyzers.
The web server for the measuring device provides a wide range of data in a user-friendly format. The user does not have to install any software on their PC; a conventional web browser is all that is required. The user enters the measuring device IP address in the browser's URL bar and the measuring devices homepage is displayed on the screen. In addition to the modern homepage, APPs are available for an extended range of functions.
The user can use the graphical programming language Jasic® to add their own functions to a UMG measuring device. Up to seven freely configurable user programs can run in parallel, e.g. monitoring processes or notifications when reaching defined threshold values. In addition to the graphical programming option, the user is also free to program the source code directly in JASIC.
Events are short-term increases in voltage, dips in voltage, current swells or short-term interruptions (e.g. through bird strike or short circuits). UMG measuring devices can safely record and process events as of 20 ms and transients as of 50 μs. The causes of power quality variations can be identified and analysed in this way.
The Ethernet Modbus gateway can be used to easily include the Modbus RTU devices that are connected to the master device as slaves in an Ethernet architecture. This is also possible via a Modbus RTU interface for devices with identical file formats and matching function codes.
Many UMG measuring devices have their own memory containing typical recording ranges of up to 2 years. Recording is freely configurable. A 128 megabyte memory can record around 5,000,000 values.
