Software PAS 510
The PAS 510 software is part of the standard package for the UMG 510 and MRG 510Flex power analysers. The software helps you to read out and graphically present measurement data either on - line as actual values or from the measurement value memory. The data can be displayed as line graph, bar chart or histogram. Furthermore, it serves the purpose of programming the measurement instruments.
The EN50160 and EN6100-2-4 analysis tools allow the rapid analysis of both norms. At a glance, it is easier to identify whether the norms are fulfilled throughout the respective measurement period and a copy can be directly created on paper or as PDF document.
The PAS 510 programming and analysis software, which is part of the UMG 510 standard delivery package, enables a simple and complete parameterisation of the UMG 510 power quality analyser.
Customer specific visualisation of the energy supply is possible with the topology view. The individual UMG 510 can be operated online. Measurement data can be directly recorded on the PC using the online presentation. Furthermore, the PAS 510 offers convenient opportunities for presentation and analysis of historical data from the database. The automatic ring buffer readout and integrated data management has a particularly positive effect in medium and large sized projects as data can be stored in various database formats. Power quality analysis in accordance with EN50160 or EN61000-2-4 is possible with just a few mouse clicks. An extensive power quality report can be automatically created and can be passed on as a PDF document.

Applications
The PAS510 software has a multitude of applications. Here are some examples:
-
Convenient programming of measurement instruments
-
The development of extensive energy management systems
-
Visualisation of energy supplies with the help of a topology view
-
Automatic data readout and archiving
-
Monitoring of the power quality

Analysis of the causes of faults
Programming and configuration
The UMG 510 and MRG 510Flex power analysers are completely parameterised with the help of the PAS 510 software. The instruments can be given any name and the CT and PT values can be set. Trigger values for the measurement of events and transients, as well as the measurement values which are to be stored and their recording intervals are determined.
Limit values for the monitoring function of the digital outputs are programmed using the comparator or the pulse value for the digital inputs or outputs. The ripple control frequency of the energy supplier can be set and field bus profiles can be created. The time server for time synchronisation is also determined. If it is necessary to carry out an update on the measuring instrument, this can conveniently be done in the programming mode without the instrument having to be dismantled or returned to Janitza. The most recent updates for software and instrument firmware is available free of charge at www.janitza.de.
Online data
All measurement values are available in the online measurement mode as a line graph or bar chart. The line graphs are permanently updated and the oldest data is deleted after a while. Two scales for measurement data in two units can be created. Any number of measurement data from each unit, including from several measurement instruments, can be observed in the same graph. The colours in the graph can be changed as required.
Instrument view
Von jedem UMG 510, das sich im Netzwerk befindet, kann eine Geräteansicht aufgerufen werden. Hierbei kann man das aktuelle Display betrachten und das Gerät auch komplett bedienen wie vor Ort.
Wave form grafic
In order to show the distortion level of voltage and current the wave forms can be displayed.
Phasor diagramm
With the phasor diagram any load unbalance a poor power factor, the rotary field direction and the phase angle can be identified at a glance.
Data storage
The UMG 510 contains a data memory space of 128MB. The measurement data are stored in a SQL database when the memory is read. The Hsqldb and MySQL formats are available for storing the data. Due to the higher speed, we recommend that the data is stored in a MySQL database. MySQL can be downloaded free of charge on www.MySQL.org.
Offline data
The data which are stored in the database can be presented as a line graph, bar chart or histogram in the PAS 510. Particularly interesting periods of time can be enlarged with the zoom feature. The graphs can be provided with titles and comments and can be printed out. The display of transients and events is of particular importance for error analysis.
Power quality report
Power quality reports in accordance with EN50160 or EN61000-2-4 over freely selectable time periods can be created with the push of a button which can then be transferred as a PDF document or printed out on paper.
