Power Analyzer UMG 507
Software
The PSW basic software is included in the delivery of the UMG 507 measuring instrument and guarantees simple programming and configuration. The measurement value memory in the instrument can be read out and the data are provided in ASCII format for further processing in MS Excel.
Connection to an ISDN router / DSL router
The unit can be connected to the internet using an external router (e.g. ISDN router or DSL router). The SMTP authentication enables you to store mails on the internet provider’s mailbox using the Plain/Login/Cram-MDS (newest encryption methods).
Embedded web server / e-mail
Worldwide access to the UMG 507 can be gained through a web browser. In order to provide access, the web address and access authorisations must be set up. The complete parameterisation software is filed as an HTML page on the flash memory. The user can apply own ideas to design the Java-Applets and Active X-components and file them on the UMG507. If limit value violations or events occur, they can be automatically sent to the set up e-mail address. Data from the memory storage can be sent by e-mail (attachment) at the set times and processed with the PSW professional software.
Protocols: HTTP, SMT, UTP, DNS, NTP, MOD TCP, Modbus over TCP, DHCP/BootP.
PSWbasic/professional
The PSW basic programming software is part of the standard delivery package for the UMG 96S, UMG 503, UMG 505, UMG 507 and ProData® instruments free of charge. The software offers on one hand, simple and complete parameterisation of the respective measurement instruments and on the other hand, allows the measurement value memory of the unit (if available) to be read out. The data are recorded in PSW basic as .txt documents and can be reprocessed in MS Excel.
The PSW professional software allows a more simple processing. The PSW professional software allows online presentation of measurement values, topology views of UMG510 or Prophi. The data can be stored in database format.
The data are stored chronologically in a database for each measurement parameter. For smaller project parameters, the supplied ODBC ACCESS database driver, which is standard in Windows, can be used.
The use of a MySQL database is recommended for projects with more than 10 instruments. MySQL can be downloaded free of charge on www.MySQL.org.The measurement data is directly utilised from the databases and is graphically presented in the software or converted into energy costs. Two different scales (i.e. different units) can be displayed per graph. Up to 8 graphic windows can be operated simultaneously.
